“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”~ Ashley Smith

How often do you stop and look at the beauty surrounding you? In the past, I rarely took the time to appreciate the little things in life because I was always so consumed with worry about things I couldn’t control. Worry is just fear about the unknown and I have found that things I spent the most time worrying over never happened. Being a Type A personality, I have to work at letting go of control and allowing events to occur naturally. In order for me to let go (and still maintain some illusion of “control”), I have found it easier to try to look for a solution to each problem instead of spending hours worrying about it. That doesn’t mean I still don’t worry, but I now know how to stop myself when worry begins and redirect my thoughts toward a solution and/or gratitude.  I may not always like the problems life throws my way, but I take comfort in knowing that each problem is created with a solution attached to it that generates positive mental and spiritual expansion and just knowing that helps me to relax and enjoy the life I already have. It really is amazing how much richer life becomes when you stop worrying and take the time to appreciate all of the good in your life.
